As requested here are some pictures from my time in Vietnam. This series is from last weekend for the Mid-Autumn festival. Some people mistake it for a Chinese holiday but it is actually a Lunar calendar holiday. All you really need to know is there are: musical celebrations, lots of food and lantern parades. (If you want to know what Tet Trung Thu really is, Wikipedia it. =))
(This little girl was dragging her lantern that had a real flame inside. Conclusion: paper lanterns + real flames + absent minded little girl = precarious situation.)
(Awesome cool food/flower sculptures!)
(Lanterns at a festival Emily and I crashed in HCMC.)
